LIP PICKS feat. YVES SAINT LAURENT: ROUGE VOLUPTÉ – Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15 & NYX butter gloss

My everyday lip- choice is the duo YVES SAINT LAURENT: ROUGE VOLUPTÉ – Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15 & NYX butter gloss. Though by itself each of these lip tints are great on their own, the ultimate best look is achieved when coupling these products.

First base product: YSL Rouge Volupté

I could rant forever about this YSL lipstick collection. There are ten colors total available, both nude and deep shades, but my color of choice is the nude beige. I gravitate towards the nude/ pink tints because I love to play up my eyes and have a more subtle, plump lip.

The absolute best aspect of this lipstick (besides the gorgeous color that is the perfect balance between a beige and peachy-pink shade), is the super creamy texture of the formula. I don’t know what they do to make it so luscious, it’s basically magic.

This lipstick is a splurge, priced at $35, but like I always say, it’s WORTH IT.

The color stays and has a slight gloss to it, so if you like a more matte look, just stay with the lipstick

BUT…

If you wish to go the extra-mile with the most wondrous, pouty lip, add the NYX Butter Gloss.

NYX products can sometimes be hit or miss, but I’m telling you this gloss is the ultimate quality bargain, priced at only $5.

My preferred  butter gloss shade is crème Brûlée, which is a smooth, nude gloss that cohesively corresponds with the YSL Nude Beige.

(You almost can’t tell the difference between the two shades and because of the great similarity, these colors look stunning together. See photo below—The top shade is the NYX gloss and the bottom shade is YSL. )

Ultimately, you can not go wrong with these two products. I carry both of them with me everywhere and I wouldn’t recommend them if they weren’t absolutely superb products.
