APRIL FAVORITES feat. Stilla, Butter London, Bosica, Marc Anthony and Hourglass

It’s that wonderful time once again for me to share my monthly favorites. April seemed to go by abnormally fast for me, but even so I got to try out some really awesome new products.

To get right to the point, I’m going to start off with my first beauty favorite, the Stilla: In the Know palette featuring 10 matte earth- tone shades. I was first drawn to this particular color wheel because of its rich browns, creams and oranges. I hadn’t really explored much of the Stilla products before except for a few of their glosses so I didn’t really know what to expect.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was the palette absolutely beautiful with such earthy colors as “Wind”, “Desert”, “Clay”, “rain”, Smoke”, “fire”, “driftwood”, “earth”, “air” and “ebony”, but the shades had incredible staying power with minimal fallout.

The Stilla shadow collection also has similar palletes “In the Light” and “In the Garden” which looks just as nice in both aesthetics and quality.

Stilla shades are also formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Synthetic Dyes
– Petrochemicals
– Phthalates
– GMOs
– Triclos

(A nice added bonus)

The Stilla collection goes for about $39.

Moving on, this month I also experimented with more of a high-end nail product, the Butter London collection which has gotten an extreme amount of hype lately.

I have purchased some of the colors from Butter London and actually thought they were just o.k. For how expensive the collection is, I thought the colors would stay at least a couple days without chipping.

The Nail Foundation however I think is VERY WORTH THE PRICE. It dries in about two minutes and acts as a solid base for nail polish and makes the polish LAST.

The foundation goes for about $19. Pricy but ,like I said, WORTH IT.

Next, the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

I recently asked a girl at Sephora for the “best peal mask” in store, and she directed me to the Boscia line. This black mask is not too evasive and peals off with ease (just make sure that you wait until the mask is completely dry).

You only need to use a thin layer of the mask on your face when using this product. Now this particular mask gets DEEP into your pores and cleans them out, preventing future blemishes. It also acts as a brightener, giving your face a subtle glow.

This Boscia mask retails for around $34.

Now for one of the biggest BARGAINS I have ever written about: Marc Anthony’s Oil of Morocco: Argon Oil Treatment

This product is only $7.99 which is incredible because the quality is unreal. I apply this treatment after I wash my hair, when my hair is still damp (though you can also use it with dry hair to add a little extra shine).

All you need is a few tiny pumps and you are set- I have seen a noticeable difference in the shine and health of my hair since using the Argon treatment.

Hints of rosemary and chamomile serve up treatment and aromatherapy benefits, and this product greatly reduces frizz (especially on those humid days).

All in all, a fantastic product.

My last favorite is the HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting blush in Ethereal Light. I briefly mentioned this in my last haul and told you guys I was going to let you know how it worked out. Turns out, it’s just as wondrous as I thought.

I was a pretty avid NARS blush user and I still am, though this is a nice little change- up to my usual blush routine. I purchased Ethereal Light for my skin tone because I am very fair but I can tell these shades are very versatile, perfect for all skin tones.

The description on Sephora.com lists these blushes as:

“six shades ranging from soft coral to cool pink are a wardrobe of captivating accent lights for cheeks. They deliver a radiant, natural finish and offer buildable color to imbue the entire complexion with an otherworldly glow”

These are probably one of the coolest, most unique powders I have ever used. They retail for about $35, but seem to last forever.

Well that’s all for my APRIL FAVORITES! It’s already May and I’m practically done with my semester so hopefully I’ll have more time to post on a regular basis.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

  1. Great favourites, I have the Stila In The Garden and In The Light palette but I really want to get this one as well for the matte shades. I really want to try the hourglass blushes to, everyone has been raving about them 🙂
