Hello there,
I hope all of you had a crazy Halloween. I sure did~ but now it’s NOVEMBER. All ready. How did this happen. Time has been going by extremely fast for me lately but as per usual, I’ve found the time to gather up some lovely goods over the month.
So without chatting endlessly, lets get on with it!
1.) OCTOBER ISSUE: SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE
So if you didn’t already hear the news, I’m featured in the October issue of Seventeen so naturally it was my favorite magazine of the month ;). I have a one page feature on “How to Fake Looking Awake” for school/ University~The whole experience of getting to go explore Seventeen magazine’s studios (and beauty closet!) was unreal.
Pick up your copy before they run out! They are still in stores!
2.) Amazonian clay BB tinted moisturizer SPF 20 ($36)
As of late, my skin has been really temperamental so I’ve been really trying to let my skin breathe with a lighter coverage foundation. I know that seems counter-intuitive because a lighter base does not cover blemishes as thoroughly, but I always make sure to use a concealer which does the trick of camouflaging any tricky spots.
This Tarte BB cream is heavenly. Not only does it give a natural- looking base but it is made with natural ingredients like Amazonian clay, apple extract, camellia extract, chamomile, vitamins A, C and E, and sodium hyaluronate (all of which hydrate and nourish the skin).
I love how weight-less this tinted moisturizer is. It almost feels like a second skin and the breathability of the formula is very non-irratating to even the most sensitive of skins.
3.) CHANEL Les 4 Ombres Multi-effect Quadra Eyeshadow ($61)
I recently featured this gorgeous gem in an Autumn- inspired look and did a whole review of the shadows~ here’s the link:https://jvwbeauty.wordpress.com/2014/10/08/m-o-t-d-a-look-for-autumn-feat-chanel-les-4-ombres-multi-effect-quadra-eyeshadow/
Basically, this palette is divine. From it’s super-pigmentation to its staying power and blend-ability, this palette is a great investment piece to have in any makeup collection.
4.) BOSCIA Luminizing Black Mask ($34)
I actually re-discovered this product as it has been a really old favorite of mine that I recently repurchased. This black mask is one of my “Holy- Grail” masks~ It is just an overall, good-quality product as it is deeply detoxifying and nourishing. It’s also an easy, peel-off mask and, I don’t know about you, but there’s something special to physically peeling off a mask from my face~ it feels soooooooo refreshing.
5.) Mario Badescu: Acne Facial Cleanser ($15)
I’m always looking for new cleansers to try out and I have to say, this Mario Badescu cleanser did not disappoint in the slightest. It’s gentle yet gets the job done and your skin genuinely feels detoxified after each use. It’s also pretty reasonably priced which isn’t a bad thing either~ I’ve been on a serious Badescu kick lately and I’m excited to try out even more of the brand’s products.
6.) Saint Laurent black eye pencil ($30)
Alright, I’ll admit it. I first got this pencil just to feel fancy. Sure I have a million black pencils and of course I didn’t need another but man, I swatched this little guy in the store and was truly in awe of the formula. ITS SO CREAMY. RIDICULOUSLY CREAMY.
I have never tried a pencil out that had such a rich formula. I guilted myself into buying it and I honestly haven’t picked up any of my other black pencils since.
7.) ULTA Instant Nail polish remover ($4)
I’m a little late to the game on this one, but OH MAN. Have you ever tried this method of removing nail polish? It’s so EASY. You literally just dip your finger into the sponge tub for a couple seconds and it completely removes even the most stubborn polishes.
It’s the little things in life haha~ I mean this little product is so convenient I can’t get over it.
Well that wraps it up for this month! Let me know what you guys are enjoying… I’d love to see your personal favorites!
As always,
Thanks for stoping by!
