October calender wreath

Hello again!,

I’m back again with another favorites post! This past month went by oddly fast for me and I was looking around my beauty closet and realized I actually did not purchase that many products this month (I know, SHOCKING.)

Needless to say, the products I did buy, I got great use out of. So let MARCH right into it! (haha very unnecessarily cheesy pun, I know)

1.) TARTE Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39)

I came across this gem after multiple bloggers recommended it. Tarte describes this silky product as being “a melt-in smoothing primer with innovative blurring and filling technology for a youthful appearance perfectly primed for makeup application.”

The first attribute I noticed about this primer was its Rose- Argon scent (one of my all time favorite smells!) I don’t think I own any scented primers (I didn’t even know they existed)- the great thing about the scent though is that it isn’t overbearing and it melts in naturally on the skin.

The consistency of this product is thicker than most primers but does not feel caked on when applied to the skin. This thickness is great in helping minimize pores and creates an amazing bace for any foundation.

Another added bonus is Tarte’s natural minerals added to this soothing primer including: vitamin E: natural preservative that also acts as an anti-inflammatory emollient and antioxidant, Vitamin C: antioxidant that fights free radical damage and premature signs of aging while brightening skin, green bean extract: known for anti-wrinkle and pore minimizing properties and mineral pigments to soothe and soften skin.

2.) GLAM GLOW SuperMud Clearing Treatment ($69)

Ok, so this little tub of joy is on the pricer side, I get it- but I’m all for quality not quantity! GLAMGLOW launches some truly amazing products, and this SuperMud mask is no exception. This mask clears out dirty pores like no other. I’ve used this for a coupe weeks now and have noticed drastic improvement in the cleanness of my pores. This mask is also gentle enough for even the most sensitive of skin types and is formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates, so you really can’t go wrong. The only downside is the price- but sometimes you got to live a little!

3.) ZOYA Polishes ($5-10)

So I’ve always been into luxury polishes (i.e. YSL, DIOR, NARS…) but after seeing very little variation in shades in my local Sephora, I decided to go try ZOYA, a slightly less high-street brand that seemed to have a dynamic range in pigments. I found that this polish has strong pigmentation and has above- average quality. Plus, it’s way cheaper than that YSL polish (though once Sephora restocks new colors, I will obviously continue to buy those gems haha) All in all, a great little product.

4.) PHILOSOPHY French Vanilla Bean Shower Gel ($18)

Every other day, I take a bath to relax my mind. I get the hot water going, candles- the whole bit. With this, I need a nice, soothing and delicious- smelling shower gel. This PHILOSOPHY shower gel is perfect as it smells heavenly and creates the most fluffy bubbles!

I also like this product because the smell isn’t overbearing and doesn’t linger too long. Plus, it acts as a shampoo too (though honestly, I never tried it as one).

5.) KORRES Pomegranate Mattifying Treatment ($38)

I picked up this KORRES bottle on a wim, without hearing too much about it. I was immediately drawn to it because it was formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, GMOs and Triclosan. I also tend to have issues with my “T-Zone” so I needed something to help mattify. Honestly, I found this product to work but I didn’t find it to be incredibly necessary. It’s still included in my “Favorites” though because I did find it to help my oily/combination skin and it was really non-invasive. Will I buy it again? I don’t think so but, what that being said, I don’t regret this purchase.

Now for some non- makeup/skincare gems! This month, I have been on YouTube constantly, which honestly isn’t different from most months haha. I wanted to give credit to some of my favorite bloggers that I haven’t mentioned yet in my posts! So here it goes!

1.) The LINEUP

These two girls are seriously the cutest. Their YouTube account is packed full of fantastic fashion videos and DIYs! They are so adorable and I just love watching the content they produce.

This girl is so incredible too- her blog/ Youtube account is full of makeup and lifestyle content and she’s so friendly/ easy to listen to. I would highly recommend watching her goods!

Jess is so cool and all of her videos are edited to perfection. Her style is unique and I’m in love with her VLOGS!

I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a girl more enthusiastic than Cassey, creator of Blogilates. You can get some of the best, high- intensity workouts from this girl. I love every workout video she does- they are so effective!
