Hello friends,
The warm summer air has finally landed in New York and I am finally feeling the calm vibes of this warmer weather. I wanted to talk to you guys about some new up and coming changes to this good ol’ blog! I am planning on expanding my content to not just beauty, but design and overall lifestyle. I have a few posts already that are off the beaten path (more lifestyle/ inspirational posts) and people seem to really like the change up. In the next few months, you’ll see some changes with the blog. I may even change the name of my blog but DON’T WORRY, I’ll let you guys know before I do it!
Now before I get too crazy, I did want to mention a few April favorites I picked up this past month… so here we go!
1.) DIOR: Skin Nude BB CREME ($45)
When the weather gets warmer, I like to go very minimal with what products I put on my skin. No one wants to cake on heavy foundation that will just melt off in the Summer sun. This Dior BB creme is just light enough on the skin, and I find the shades blend fantastically with a plethora of skin tones. Additionally, It feels effortlessly sheer and it won’t melt!
Though BB cremes arrant typically full-coverage, I find that if you have specific blemishes that you want to de-emphasize, it is good to add a little concealer in cohesion.
2.) MAC lip pencil in OAK ($16)
MAC lip pencils are always reliable- I completely fell for that nude-brown trend this season and I find that the shade OAK is absolutely gorgeous, especially under nude shades with tints of coral, pink or brown. Check out the picture below for what it looks like alone- Ultimately, I think anyone can rock this shade- It isn’t too brown and it isn’t too nude. Plus, the pencil glides on pretty easily and seems to last a good amount of time.
3.) ESSIE POLISH: Island Hopping ($9)
So a little while back I said that I used to buy an excessive amount of ESSSIE polish and that I had stopped to buy more designer polishes (i.e YSL) but I was looking for a very specific color- Honestly, I could not find it in any of my go-to brands. I wanted a mauve- pink/purple and this little gem stood out to me right away. To me, this is the perfect spring color- natural enough yet it has a nice pigmented flush of color. Essie gets a solid 7/10 for me. Ultimately, I love this color.
4.) Becca: Shimmering Skin Perfector ($45)
I was recommended this product from a few people so I just had to give it a try. This skin perfector helps add a luminous glow to the skin (perfect for Summer). I like to add it over my foundation in the same areas I would place any highlighter (under the eyes- on the side- down the bridge of my nose, and on my cupid’s bow of my lips) I like this product because it really helps capture the suns rays- the light effortlessly bounces off your face!
5.) NARS bronzer: Tahiti ($59)
This is a brand new launch for NARS and what immediately drew me to this product was the mini- brush that is identical to the NARS Kabuki Ita brush that everyone goes crazy for- it’s just half the size! The bronzing powder itself is lovely and is very blendable. This product is on the pricier side but between the powder and the brush, I think it’s worth it. The Kabuki Ita brush itself is $55, so really it’s a fantastic deal.
~Non Beauty Favorite:
6.) FREE PEOPLE Cages stone cuff ($38)
Free People really does know how to make the best arm candy. I fell in love with the earthy, antique look of this cuff and have been wearing this bracelet pretty much everyday. I’ve gotten tons of compliments on it and it’s adjustable depending on the width of your wrist!
7.) APRIL PLAYLIST:

Also, as another favorite, I created my April playlist of songs I’ve been listening to most this past month! Check it out for some chill VIBIN’ tunes.
Until next time,
