Hello again lovely people!,
I can not believe it is already November. As the days get shorter and nights get colder, I am constantly reminded on how quickly time really does fly. I am still living in Manhattan, and loving every second of it. With this, I have some very exciting news: I am now a beauty expert for Anthropologie!
Anthropologie is really unlike any other store I have ever ventured into- It provides an aesthetic experience like no other, with its extreme attention to detail. The bohemian- chic store is packed full of delicately curated clothing, accessories, home goods and of course, BEAUTY PRODUCTS!
The store that I currently work in is one of the main Anthropologie stores in the nation, located at 50 Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan. We are one of the most high- volume Anthropologies in the world (yes, we’re international!) and carry a dynamic collection of beauty lines, most of which are 100% organic and holistic. Below, I will take you briefly into what I do as a “beauty expert” for the store and some of my favorite lines we carry… enjoy!
A beauty expert for Anthropologie is an associate who goes through several training sessions with every line carried. He or she has a pretty in-depth knowledge of the beauty industry and is basically the main “beauty liaison” for the store.
W3ll PEOPLE:
Day to day, I will assist costumers based on his/her specific needs. At Anthropologie, we carry some of the best holistic skincare and makeup brands around. One of my favorite new collections we have gotten in is the brand W3ll People, a relatively new organic brand that I have been blown away by.
The whole organic movement is very encouraging as I feel consumers are starting to realize the negative impact of some of the harsh chemicals placed into seemingly normal products. In fact, 80 percent of what goes on the skin so INTO the skin, so making sure the ingredients used in cosmetics are safe is incredibly imperative.
W3ll People produces natural products that leave a 0 percent carbon footprint which is very commendable for a cosmetics company. So far, I have really been enjoying all of the W3ll People products, though I have to say, I have been getting the most use out of the “Bio Brightening” stick. Similar to Benefit’s “Watts up” highlighter, the stick has a creamy, easily- blendable consistency and absolutely beautiful sheen.
ALBEIT:
Albeit is an Anthropologie- exclusive brand that is all natural and has incredible quality. From its brushes to its multiple cheek & lip cremes, Albeit is a great brand to get into. Its products are also reasonably priced with the majority of its products being in the mid 20 dollar range. I like the brushes provided in particular as they are inexpensive yet ware better than most higher- end applicators.
JUICE BEAUTY
Juice Beauty is a fairly known brand in the organic makeup blogger world, as it has been labeled as a staple in the natural cosmetic industry. The brand is also fairly priced, as most of the products are within the $20 range, similar to Albeit. I particularly love the Juice Beauty skincare line, which uses natural stem cellular technology, great for achieving that youthful glow. It has an “innovative botanical base that eschews unnecessary fillers” and is packed full of nourishing plant-based ingredients.
ILIA:
Ilia is another fairly prominent name in the organic beauty industry, with many dynamic products, my favorite being its lip pencils and tinted moisturizers. ILIA Beauty describes itself as having a dedication to creating the purest organic cosmetics possible. In fact, “each piece is filled with 85% certified organic bio-active botanicals that nourish and rejuvenate the skin, and is manufactured ethically and sustainably.” The consistency of all of Ilia’s products are creamy and perfectly pigmented. (oh, and I like the lip crayons even better than NARS!).
From working as an Anthro Beauty Expert, I have been realizing just how important natural, safe beauty products truly are. In the future, I will update you on any other favorites I have from the store, and hope to write back very soon.
As always, thank you for reading!
xx,
